General Information
The Compass is the student newspaper of Gainesville State College, Oakwood Campus in Oakwood, Georgia. The paper publishes five printed issues during the regular semester (excluding summer) and an online edition every Wednesday during the regular school year.
The mission of The Compass is to produce high-quality content that is timely, relevant and engaging to the students, faculty and staff of Gainesville State College Oakwood campus and to allow newspaper staff members a place to grow and work within a team environment.
Submissions information:
To submit material for publication consideration, please e-mail us at compass@gsc.edu. Include your name, e-mail address and position at GSC (faculty, staff or student). Submissions must be five hundred words or less.
The Compass reserves the right to edit for content, length, grammar and style any material submitted for consideration to be published. In addition material submitted for the Web site may be printed in the newspaper, and vice versa. Submission of content does not guarantee publication.
