Philip Griffith was one of four students who represented Gainesville State College at the National Communication Association Annual Convention in Chicago.
At the awards ceremony on Nov. 16, 2007, Griffith was honored with the Sigma Chi Eta Student of the Year award.
This award represents the GSC's second consecutive year taking national honors.
In addition to receiving the Student of the Year Award, Griffith was also elected as the 2007-2008 National President of Sigma Chi Eta.
