Most guys try too hard

I took some time over spring break to take a look at the motives that guys and girls use for going on spring break. As one might guess, they are completely different.
For chicks, break is sort of like a week long Cyndi Lauper song, so to say "Girls just wanna have fun!" I have noticed that women don't go to some remote area for a week or for summer vacation. Ladies always seem to choose the spots with the most potential for fun. Guys on the other hand choose their destination on a completely opposite basis.
You see, men, we are natural hunters. Even after a million years, we haven't been able to shake that animal instinct, the thrill of the hunt, especially southern men! Like most sophisticated and crafty hunters, we know that the best results come when you are hunting in a highly populated area. Guys apply the same concept when going on break.
We don't care about the sand, the ocean, or the potential for fun. All those things just cost us more money and more time. We don't lie on the beach and tan together. We don't go swimming together. We don't take an eight hour trip to some place in Florida that is beer drenched and packed with cheap hotels because we want to have fun with our buddies. Guys could grab some pizza, some brew and a football game and do that, without ever leaving the house. The only thing we care about is our odds of successfully meeting a girl.
Girls, you are probably asking yourselves right now, "If guys don't like vacationing on break then why do they go?" True, we could stay home in whatever little college town we reside in and hope that we run into a gorgeous young woman. The fact is that if men could run into an attractive female while staying home on break we would never leave. You see most women who don't vacation on break either visit their families or work. Neither one of those options are very appealing! No one wants to meet the parents over springbreak and a job usually means that she is going to be too busy to hang out with you when school is in session.
If the article ended this way, one might walk away thinking of it as sleazy and pigheaded. The point that I have been trying to get across this semester is that guys spend most of their time trying to figure out a way to woo women into submission.
Whether women realize it or not, we men work hard to please them. We take out the trash. We fix what's broken. Okay, we try to fix what is broken! We let you nag us until we are frustrated beyond belief. After all of that, we are willing to drive hundreds of mile just to get a chance to meet you.
So women, next time you are with your boyfriend, a potential date or the guy serving you your food, pay attention. We're working harder than you think.
