Spring semester intramurals continue strong

The intramurals basketball season ended on March 14 when The Ballers defeated The Hoosiers 69-60.

The Hoosiers were ten points away from a perfect season against The Ballers, who lost only one game earlier this season against The Hoosiers.

Spring intramurals for Gainesville State College are softball, bowling and ultimate Frisbee.

A bowling tournament will be held Friday, April 18th. Teams of four were able to register in a one-day event held at Gainesville Bowling Center.

The Frisbee season began March 31st when the Blazing Invasion defeated the Red Rope Revolution 5-4 in the round robin league. Other teams in the league include Enterprise and The Blackmail.

Frisbee games will be held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at noon. The season will end May 7th.

The softball season started out slow on March 31st with a forfeit between the Bambinos and K-bo.

Softball games will be held at 3 p.m. and noon throughout the week. The softball season will end May 2nd.A complete softball schedule is available on the intramurals page on the GSC website.

Both schedules are subject to change due to rain.

Pick-up games for indoor soccer and basketball are still being held in the GSC gym. Basketball will be held on Tuesday's and soccer will be held on Thursday's. Both sports will be held from 3 to 5 p.m.
